I've been working in the finance industry for quite a while now, and it's given me a fantastic education. I've been fortunate enough to apply what I've learnt to improve my own lifestyle and decision-making, and help others achieve positive outcomes too.
What I love about working in finance is how dynamic it is - you're always learning new things, no day is the same, and it's constantly challenging. Plus, I appreciate how relevant my work is to everyday life. It's not abstract - it directly impacts how people live.
One of the best feelings in this job is knowing you've helped a client on their path to realising their dream. Being in a position to make that kind of difference - that's pretty special.
I'm a stained glass artist - I love creating beautiful things with glass. I've been doing this for almost 20 years now and have the scars to prove it! I'm also a devoted traveller and try to go somewhere new every year. I live to explore.
I'm a Wallabies fan, enjoy live music and reading. I foster kittens for the RSPCA and support Base Services Toowoomba.

In the hot seat with Karen
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive who would it be? Why?
Keith Flint (Prodigy). He led an interesting, amazing life and was a real character. I reckon he would have plenty of good stories to tell. Bit of an enigma
What's your favourite quote?
"A woman is like a tea bag, you never know how strong she is till she’s in hot water." Eleanor Roosevelt
The one book you recommend everyone needs to read?
Anything by Stephen King the man’s imagination is so unconventional. ‘It’ is my favourite book of his.
If you could live in any city in the world for a year, where would it be and why?
St Petersburg in Russia. The city is beautiful and has so much history. Contradiction of old world and new. I think it would be fascinating to live there for a year.
